The Finance Ministry said that under PMGKY scheme, funds are being distributed in the accounts of the beneficiaries within a limited time frame, so far under Pradhanmantri Garib Kalyan Yojana , through digital payment, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Kisan Yojana benefits are provided. are being done. An amount of Rs 28,256 crore is to be provided by the central government to the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. Under this scheme, the central government has to distribute funds in three installments i.e. in the accounts of the beneficiary in the month of April, May and June. The first installment has been released by the government in the month of April, Rs 5,606 crore has been transferred to the accounts of about 7.15 crore beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme.
Food grains received so far under the scheme
Under this scheme, 5 kg of wheat or rice is being given free to every member of the poor family of the country, one kg of gram dal is also available free. It is given to every family every month. So far, food grains have been given to 93% beneficiaries in April, 91% in May and 71% in June. For this, the states have so far taken 116 lakh metric tonnes of food grains from the central government.
